Individual gravesite flags, no larger than 8" by 12", are permitted on graves placed by family and friends for private memorialization.
Due to the open nature of the grounds, we cannot guarantee against theft, vandalism or the effects of nature. Flowers that have become unsightly will be removed for mowing and maintenance purposes, or if damaged by weather or wildlife. Removed items will be held for 30 days.įloral pick up will be conducted on Thursday each week. Unauthorized items will be removed immediately. (i.e., marking, sitting on, placing objects upon, attaching photographs or keepsakes to, etc.). Altering a headstone in any manner is prohibited. Unauthorized items include artificial flowers (except the dates above), balloons, pinwheels, wind chimes, lights, candles, weapons of any kind, vigil lights, glass vases, statues, stuffed animals, alcoholic products or other similar in nature. Items left at the grave must be floral in nature and may not stand taller than 24 inches. Artificial floral arrangements will be allowed five days before and after Memorial Day on all gravesites. Other seasonal adornments such as artificial flowers, potted plants, or poinsettias that are less than 18 inches in diameter are permitted for placement on gravesites during the period 10 days before and 10 days after Easter Sunday, Christmas and Hanukkah. They will be removed when they become unsightly or when it becomes necessary to facilitate cemetery operations such as mowing.
Permanent plantings or fixtures are not permitted.įuneral arrangements may include 1 casket spray and up to 2 floral pieces accompanying the casket or urn at the time of the burial will be placed on the completed grave. The cemetery provides water and green flower containers for gravesite display located at each section and columbarium.
We welcome and encourage fresh-cut flowers throughout the year. Our cemetery floral policy exists only to reflect the honor and respect we hold for our Nation's Veterans, by preserving the dignity and solemnity of their final resting place.
